- All applicants must have an Ontario Secondary
School Diploma at the general level or equivalent with a minimum
of Grade 12 English and Mathematics. Each applicant is assessed
on an individual basis.
- For those students who do not have Ontario Grade
12 or equivalent and is 19 years of age or older, must pass
a Literacy Test administered by the school. These test questions
will assess English comprehension and writing skills.
- The student must arrange an appointment with
the PSW program coordinator at 416-754-0700. Should the coordinator
not be available, please leave a voice mail with a phone number
where you can be contacted.
- During the interview process the program is discussed
in detail and you can ask questions at this time.
- A standard application form must be completed
at the time of the interview and if the student is OSAP eligible,
a form can be completed at this time.
- Students entering the PSW course are required
to have the following before starting classes.
- Two step Mantoux TB Test ( Your family doctor
can administer)
- Police Check
- Complete provided Health Assessment Form
- All immunizations must be up to date
- CPR and First Aid are requirements for Certification
and must be completed prior to graduation.
